Half Marathon Runners Raise over £2500! Thanks to our fabulous participants in the London Landmarks Half Marathon on August 1st who raised over £2500! The money raised will be used for several projects; the essential support of the blind musician training centre, support of a speech therapist for special needs children in Bhutan and also for the halfway home shelter project for children in difficult circumstances.

The people of Bhutan have successfully minimised the impact of Covid during 2020 and students boarding at East Draktsho training centre are now able to return to school. One of the initiatives that the charity is keen to support in 2021 is the improvement of the nutritional value of the food for the seventy students. We would like to extend a huge thank you to the Openwork Foundation for their grant towards providing 5 water filters across 4 rural schools in Bhutan. Ugyen is overseeing the installation of the water filters which will ensure access to clean water for all students. Opening Your Heart to Bhutan, Sandwich Rotary and Thimpu Rotary have recently collaborated on a project to provide water filters to schools throughout Bhutan. The water filters render raw water safe and drinkable, providing clean and safe drinking water to children in schools.
