Over £3,000 made in one night

Last months "Flavours of Bhutan" meal organised by James Brown at the Oswald Stoll Foundation in Fulham raised over £3,500 to help children in rural Bhutan.

The three course meal cooked by James and inspired by Bhutanese food was attended by well over 60 guests and included a talk by founder of the charity Ani Pema Deki. An auction with lots including a sightseeing flight along the South Coast and professional advice from a publisher was well received.

The charity would like to give a huge thank you to James and his mother Terri for their inspired fundraising. The money will go a significant way to helping us secure a new minibus for the children at Drat-sko in Thimpu.

Speaking about the event, Pema Deki said "events like this really inspire our work and the people in Bhutan. The simple acts of kindness by people over in Britain cross the globe and really make a difference."
