Sponsors make big splash

11 1/2 year old Kiya and his mother Maryam swam over twelve miles to help raise money for Opening Heart to Bhutan's work in rural Eastern Bhutan this weekend.

Young Kiya joined a swimathon run by Marie Curie at Whitstable Swimming Pool, to swim over 150 lengths and raise over £200 to help clothe and feed young boys of his own age often orphaned and seeking sanctuary in Meritsemo.

Money donated by Kiya and his supporters will be taken out to Eastern Bhutan in April.
